Overnight Yeasted Waffles are a light, crispy, and oh-so-easy way to start your weekend brunch, or even a weekday breakfast. All the prep happens the night before!
So you know that we love waffles, be it for appetizers, dessert, or as a name for our dog, but now we finally are presenting one designed for breakfast. This recipe for Overnight Yeasted Waffles is my personal favorite. They cook up so light, crispy, and tasty that you just can’t help but stack them up tall and dripping with butter and syrup. Plus, you make up the batter the night before, so you don’t have to worry about banging around the kitchen making too much noise and possibly waking up your housemates. Something to perhaps keep in mind with Valentine’s Day coming up if you’re looking to make breakfast in bed for your significant other. Wink!
What better way to start the new year than with a box of new food to try and some fabulous new recipes using that food? Recipes like Bacon Salted Caramel Corn? Oh yes, that happened.

Caramelized Onion and Bacon Tart is a hearty, cold-weather appetizer, main dish, or even breakfast! Its savory flavors are balanced by a tangy goat cheese filling.
Winter makes me crave cozy flavors. I mean, a good hot chocolate is always at the top of my list. But if you need something savory, it’s hard to beat a Caramelized Onion and Bacon Tart.
That smoky bacon! Those sweet but meaty onions! A sprinkle of thyme and basil brighten up the combination, then underneath it all, a goat cheese custard adds the perfect amount of tang.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes combine two of your favorite things into one decadent dessert! The cookie dough filling is irresistible.
We all love cookie dough. Well, at least if you’re reading this blog, you probably do. And if you aren’t a fan, have you actually had cookie dough? It’s delicious! Quite frankly, cookie dough was the bait that first got me into the kitchen as a kid. And I still like eating cookie dough as much now as I did back them. But even better, as an adult, I am no longer at the mercy of my mom’s baking schedule, so I can have it whenever I want. Sometimes growing up has its benefits.
Sadly, it is generally frowned upon to present a big bowl of cookie dough as dessert to company. I’m not sure why, but who am I to argue with social convention? Luckily, these chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes allow you to bring some of those same cookie dough flavors in a more acceptable presentation.
Texas Nachos are your perfect Super Bowl snack! Each chip has just the right amount of cheesy, spicy crunch.
So Christmas may have come and gone, and the New Year’s celebrations are complete, but that doesn’t mean the holidays are over! You know what’s next on the calendar? Super Bowl parties! Oh yes, that perfect excuse to gather with friends for snacks and drinks…and maybe a little bit of game-watching.
This year we have an extra reason to pay attention to Super Bowl festivities: the big game will be taking place in our little old city of Houston, Texas. I’ll be honest, we’re not even going to try to get tickets, and in fact, we don’t plan to leave our house that entire weekend. Houston previously hosted the Super Bowl back when we were young and in college, and at that time of our lives, it was fun to go downtown and hang out with thousands of our closest friends in what was basically Mardis Gras. But now? Mehhhhhh I think I’ll just cozy up with a much smaller group of people and a few homemade snacks…like these Texas Nachos.
